Artworker / Production Assistant

Salary: £22,500 pro rata

Job Type: Part Time, Permanent.

We are looking for an Artworker / Production Assistant to join the production department for this independent distributor and record label management company.

We are: A UK based independent distributor, digital distributor and record label management company. We are an innovative organisation specialising in sourcing, manufacturing & supplying independent electronic music. Focussing on evolutionary electronic music we supply a global network of independent wholesalers, distributors, shops and leading digital download stores.

You are: A highly technical and creative Artworker / Production Assistant who can cover a multiple of roles focussed around these two disciplines. It will be your responsibility to ensure artwork is delivered on time, to specification and within budget, liaising closely with graphic designers, production teams, manufacturing partners and sales you will ensure the smooth delivery of client artwork. As a key member of the production team you will also create promotional material (to be used online and by the sales teams) and work closely with clients, in respect to sending and gaining approval on artwork proofs, this means strong communication skills are required.

To qualify: You’ll be an experienced Artworker/Production Assistant with a CV that highlights the following:

• Proficiency with Apple Macintosh and Mac OSX.
• A working knowledge of Adobe CS 4/5 (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro – Essential).
• Experience with art working, pre press and design.
• A thorough knowledge of Office applications and preferably iWork.
• Experience in the use of databases (ideally Filemaker Pro).
• A passion and knowledge for the latest media applications and developments.
• Basic exposure to HTML, CSS, Fireworks, Dreamweaver and Flash is highly desirable.

S.T. Holdings is looking for a sales person to join our existing team on the south coast of England.

Are you the right person? A knowledge and passion for music, particularly Drum & Bass, Dubstep and Techno is a must. As well as being: friendly, enthusiastic, professional, self-motivated, hard working and a team player.

The role of sales person:

• Maximise sales of product to existing customers
• Provide excellent customer service.
• To manage a large database of clients and to update the internal CRM system at all times.
• To become an expert in the company’s products & services.
• To build excellent relationships on the telephone to maximise business opportunities.
• To consistently achieve / over achieve on agreed sales targets.
• Collaborate with the S.T. Holdings staff to assist with the marketing and promotion of new releases.
• Checking sales information / stock control;
• Data entry, filing & general administration.

Skills required:

• Previous sales experience.
• Working knowledge of Apple Macs
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Working knowledge & experience of accounting software (Hansa preferred).
• Demonstrate the ability to develop good relationships on the telephone
• Demonstrate the ability & willingness to learn new tasks and responsibilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to able to prioritise work and meet deadlines
