Following his prized Joker rework, his inclusion on the hefty Fabric-curated ‘Elevator Music’ comp, his dope 7″ for the All City crew, and Corridor EP on Plastician’s Terrorhythm imprint – not to mention a slew of remixes – Om Unit joins the Civil Music stable alongside Starkey, Reso, dÉbruit, Drums of Death and Darling Farah. And yet again we see him pushing his sonic manifesto ever further. With years of working intently at the nexus of instrumental beats and electronic music, it’s time for The Timps EP.

LOL is a bit of an unusual project, it’s just a thing in it’s own right, it’s not ‘for’ anything or anyone in particular, it’s just an LP made by three bored people who like music that sounds like it did before the advent of the internet. The project was recorded in the bedroom of a warehouse conversion in Hackney Wick (bedrooms can be incredibly creative spaces, seeing as most of us were conceived in one).
