Over recent months Eight:FX have been smashing out top selling digital releases from some of Dubstep’s freshest and best new talent. However now, to coincide with the release of our new Future:Dubstep compilation series Eight:FX proudly present a return to vinyl for a series of Future:Dubstep 12”’s. 01 in the compilation series is mixed by Kiss 100’s Hatcha, with 02 mixed by Dubstep’s fastest rising stars, Bare Noize. As such, the first in our series of 12”’s contains two anthems from each Hatcha (and studio partner Lost – of H.E.N.C.H) and Bare Noize. Since being established back in 2005, Eight:FX has gone on to release singles from Dubstep’s most established names as well as supporting upcoming talent, including the likes of Kromestar, Tes La Rok, Djunya, Nika D (Virus Syndicate), MRK1, Cyrus (Random Trio) and Hatcha. Hatcha is the original Dubstep DJ, mixing the genres first compilation, holding down the first commercial Dubstep radio show on London’s Kiss 100 and having countless releases on some of Dubstep’s longest and most established labels. These two club smashes are created alongside Lost – a producer who since being signed exclusively to the H.E.N.C.H label has received consistent support from Dubstep’s biggest DJs. SUB005 Dub Sessions I – Shed SubSolo 12″ Vinyl
Finish Copy. Displaying his excellent production skills within techno, Shed moves over to straight up dub sessions with the ‘Dub Shed Sessions I’ on SubSolo. Fierce bass meditative drops circles around the excellent atmospheric keyboard patterns, combined in a way that sounds both fresh and unique, but still rating 100% on Shed’s own trademark sound. Leaning towards a bit of contemporary straight dub techno with ‘Dub Shed – STP Remix’, the focus is on a more direct and present take on the tracks progression, rather than inviting the listener into an already set-up wall of sound. Shaking off the melody from the centre, the spacious patterns reveal themselves as the extreme basslines comes in, removing all doubt about the direction of the track. This is the first release since this producer has proved his talent time and time again with a string of releases over the past two years on the infamous deep medi recordings and not to mention the groundbreaking album ‘City Limits Vol. 1’. Dj Silkie And Anti Social Ent. as a collective are definitely ones to watch in 2009/2010 ‘step aside’ is a clever combination of hard hitting bass and breaks with the synthy, melodic and soulful elements as expected from this producer – dark and moody with a jazzy twist. this track drops into what can only be described as low end sub bass over a tribal beat pattern which is enough to shake up any dancefloor – a real stomper ‘illegal immigrant’ comes with similar vibes on the b side, starting off with emotive, dubesque pads and dropping with low down sub stabs over another unconventional but highly effective beat. this represents the other side to the anti social sound which can only be described of as the liquid/deeper dubstep sound. both tracks have had support on the highly acclaimed rinse fm on a weekly basis (www.rinse.fm) and are receiving heavy rotation from djs such as Skream, Mala And N-type in the clubs and not to mention major dubstep icons such as Hatcha from kiss 100 and Maryanne Hobbs from radio 1, this highlights the versatility of these tracks and the potential to cross into dj sets from different genres – a real must for all serious dubsteppers worldwide.

Zap! The white horse of spastic computer funk and synthesized Scandinavian afro-minimalism is back to burn! Randy Barracuda, best known as a member of the legendary elecro bassoutfit Imatran Voima and as one of the pioneers of the Skweee-movement, releases his solo-album after a decade of wait! Starkly named long-play is Barracuda’s homage for his key influences: 80′s analogue synthesizer funk, romantic modern soul and drugged out cosmic psychedelia. The musical spectrum of the album varies from the anthemic screeching of “Ketamine Strut” and “Skweee Like A Pig” to melancholic spacey moods of “Hungry For Another Touch” and “Love Axe/Heavy Metal”. Guest starring Michael Black Electro as “the voice”. But, enough advertising now. (As Leonard Bernstein said: “The joy of music should never be interrupted by a commercial”.)
